The traditional Capriola cowboy rein is the braided rawhide rein. Rawhide is noted for strength and durability. The rawhide buttons give the rein and romal weight and balance. The 8 plait is getting very hard to find while the 12 plait is usually available. We try to carry the best braided rawhide available and prefer it made the old time way. We also carry Santa Ynez and finer plaits and 16 to 24 plait.
