Formulated in 1949 by legendary Master Western Saddlemaker Don Bentley.

Nobody knows how to take care of leather better than a saddle maker. Bentley’s Original Liquid Glycerine was formulated in 1949 by the legendary Master Western Saddlemaker. Don originally mixed it in his own bathtub! While it is no longer mixed in a bathtub, it is still the same formula that is used today, more than 65 years later. Don’s saddles from the 1940’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s can still be found at auction and in use today, and part of their beauty and longevity can be attributed to the care he took in cleaning and conditioning the leathers used in their creation.
