We have revised “The Art of Braiding, The Basics, Revised Edition”, written in 2002 over thirteen years ago. The updated version is entitled, “The Art of Braiding, The Basics, Second Revised Edition”.

I have considered this upgrade for some time. The new text has been influenced by my students. Their questions and diverse ideas have been thought-provoking broadening my awareness of what information would support their understanding of braiding. Another influence has been the Small Projects book. As it begins to take shape with all the new projects, there is clearly a need for additional skills.

The new “The Art of Braiding, The Basics, Second Revised Edition” includes the same information as the previous edition-nothing has been removed. However, the information is upgraded with more detail and new skills added. The illustrations are improved and there are more photos. The project section has 2 new ones.
